There have been large scale protests around the USA and other countries to show solidarity and support to demand that our elected representatives respect the separation of the three branches of government, provide government accountability and oversight, show support for our society’s most vulnerable, protect programs like Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP, and respect the constitutional rights provided by the Bill of Rights.

The latest large-scale protest, known as No Kings, is estimated to have had at least 5 million participants across the country and in other countries, including The United Kingdom, France, Canada, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Panama, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, and Mexico. It is one of the largest single-day protests in United States history.
